prompt design a bud vase by attaching two vacuum formed parts together. Lathing must be used in the process and the end result should hold at least half an inch of water.

OOO is a bud vase designed in exploration of integrating a 2D form to a 3D body harmonically.  It consist of only 2 peices of styrene sheet stocks thermoformed over corresponding lathed poplar molds.  OOO holds water up to .5 inch tall, with multiple openings, we encourage you to use your creativity to decorate it.  Being a not-so-ordinary bud vase, OOO will add spookiness to any table top.  

Since using lathing method to form the mold was a requirement, I started the ideation process by sketching roational forms. A melting sphere form inspired by Janet Jackson’s music video “Feedback” and a metled apple shape by Undercover’s melted apple tee were most intriguing. The final form was archieved by multiple trials of vacuum forming.
